Lions of Yellow Cake is an artist whose work is rooted in imagination, wonder, and the quiet connections between people, animals, and the natural world. Growing up, art became her primary language, a way to observe, explore, and create meaning when words felt insufficient. Early influences ranged from the vibrant optimism of Lisa Frank to the epic fantasy of Frank Frazetta and the ornamental elegance of Alphonse Mucha. Since beginning her professional career in 2006, she has worked across a variety of mediums, evolving from a foundation in technical realism toward a more expressive, story-driven style. Fairytales and science alike continue to shape her work, inspired by the empathy of Fred Rogers and the cosmic perspective of Carl Sagan. Through her art, Lines of Yellow Cake seeks to remind viewers of the shared experience of existing alongside one another, encouraging curiosity, kindness, and a renewed sense of wonder toward both the familiar and the unknown.
