Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso (1887–1918) was a pioneering Portuguese modernist whose vibrant work blended elements of Cubism, Futurism and Expressionism. Although his career was cut tragically short, his bold use of color, movement and geometric form established him as one of Portugal’s most important modern artists.
